Presentation of the HDK

The HDK was founded in 2011 as a alliance of a number of left-wing parties and organizations. The alliance aims to represent the less privileged groups in Turkish society, Kurds and other ethnic minorities, women and LGBT groups. The HDK founded the HDP as its party wing for elections.
Member organizations are DBP, DSİP, EMEP, ESP, HDP, SDP, SYKP, YSGP and 27 other organizations (full list).

Flag of the HDK

The flag of the HDK is white with the symbol in the center (photos: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9]).
The symbol of the HDK is a combination of several horizontal strokes in yellow, green, blue, purple and pink with a vertical stroke in red and an orange circle, all on a white field, all together forming a very stylized sketch of a person with raised arm; the name of the organization in grey and black appears on the right side.

A vertical, beach flag version is also used (photo): in this the organization's name is shown beneath the combination of strokes.
